Yes, you will need help

Updated: Apr 1

Probably the biggest challenge I've faced so far is acknowledging that I need some help from time to time and the acceptance that I cannot do it all.

While recovering from the replacement of my left hip, I've been reminded on several occasions just how difficult some tasks are to complete.

The simple act of putting on socks, taking out the trash, washing clothes and dishes, preparing meals have now become Olympic class events for me. Honestly, everything is a bit more difficult though it does provide inspiration to keep working at it, doing my exercises and everything else that will promote my recovery.

The moral of the story, be willing to ask for help. From a proactive standpoint, start reaching out before surgery to connect with friends and family and find out who is willing to help and what assistance that they are willing to offer.

You'll find that accepting your vulnerabilities and asking for help makes you stronger. It will also help speed up your recovery.

While still in recovery mode, which is expected to last another 4+ weeks, I am raising money to keep my business open. If you can help great. If not, that's ok to. Subscribing to my YouTube channel, visiting my website and following me on Facebook and Instagram, are all very helpful.
