Real Works to Recovery Zone Care

Why Real Works is becoming Recovery Zone Care

I started this journey by earning an Associate Degree in Massage Therapy from De Anza College along with Hendrickson Method Practitioner and Therapist certifications. When I opened my business, Real Works Therapy, it began with offering orthopedic massage and manual therapy services. Shortly thereafter I added sports massage therapy as the number of athletes I was working with expanded. The more people I worked with, the more I came to realize that in order to achieve a full recovering from injury and pain more efficiently, exercise and movement therapies had to be integrated as well.

I had already earned certifications to teach Wuji Qigong and Yang-style Tai Chi. I added to that by achieving a Personal Training certification from the National Council on Strength and Fitness (NCSF) along with 200 and 500-hour Yoga Alliance Instructor certifications. I created Real Works Movement to consolidate the exercise-based therapy services I was offering and started teaching more classes and recommending specific exercises to my clients based on their individual needs.

In 2020, I created an S-Corp called Recovery Zone Care, in an effort to improve the business-related functions and needs of both companies, and to simplify the structure under a single website. Now, both Real Works Therapy and Real Works Movement reside within Recovery Zone Care. Gradually, the names of both Real Works companies will be replaced by the corporate name. It begins with a new website, which will then initiate my efforts to rebrand both companies under Recovery Zone Care.
